EHC

Evolution Hockey Club (EHC) runs throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall/Winter and is a program for like-minded players and goaltenders looking to take their game to the next level. Athletes participating in EHC will improve their game through skill stations, game situational drills, small area games, and scrimmages.
If your goal is to go to hockey camp, we are not the program for you. If your goal is to get better at hockey, this is the perfect program for you.

The criteria is simple:
1. The athlete loves hockey,
2. The athlete competes at a high level, and
3. The parents are positive people who are great to work with! -
EHC age categories include:
U11
U13
U15
U18
U20
EHC also includes skates for players and goaltenders already playing at the Junior A/ Western Hockey League/ College level.

EVOLUTION PLAY

Evolution PLAY is a program best suited for those who want to add an additional day or two of hockey to their weekly routine. We strongly believe hockey should be the best part of your day, and to make that true, we guarantee game play, skill work, and FUN in every session. Kids sign up for hockey to actually play hockey.. we are going to play hockey every single ice time.
Evolution PLAY is for those looking for a convenient and cost-effective way to get more puck touches, and improve puck and game play skills in a fun, challenging environment.
Each session will always start with a small area game
Each session, you can expect:Work on the fundamental skills of hockey using stations or live game situations drills
Finish with small area games or a full ice scrimmage

Players who want to level up their game. For instance, if they play AA and want to make AAA the following season, Evolution PLAY is for them. If they are a good player and don’t want to commit to a more intense program, this is for them!
Players who want individual fundamental skill work
Players who want to come to the rink and play lots of small area games / scrimmages
Players who want to have FUN and learn new things.

EVOLUTION GOALTENDING

Evolution Goaltending is a branch of, and runs within the structure of, Evolution Hockey. What does that mean? The majority of the offered programs integrate both goaltenders and players. Each on-ice session, the participating goaltender(s) will spend an allotted amount of time with one of our passionate and dedicated goalie coaches working on goalie-specific technique and tactics. For the remainder of the skate, the goaltender(s) will take part in highly-competitive game-situational drills, small area games and scrimmages that will test and enhance important aspects of the position like stance, skating, depth management, compete level and goalie IQ.
Each session includes:
Regulation-sized ice to maintain proper sight-lines and angles
High-quality shooters
Video analysis
Game-situational drills and small area games
Use of multiple teaching tools

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

The Evolution Hockey Mentorship Program is a 12 month program beginning the first of September each calendar year. It revolves around providing tailored support to players’ unique needs throughout their journey of engagement and growth. This approach is offered within the Mentorship program where we seek to address the diverse needs of players at their different stages. We aim to help players get better on and off the ice, through collaborative assessment.
Our goal is to help your athlete take their performance to the next level by pairing them with a dedicated Evolution coach who is committed to their development, game play and personal growth. Their Evolution coach is here to support the athlete’s hockey journey. They will attend/watch games (where available), do video clipping and work with the skater/goalie to assess their needs, set clear goals and provide guidance.

The criteria is simple:

2. The athlete competes at a high level, and
3. The parents/families are positive people who are great to work with.

1.) Game Visits: Three game visits/events per month by your coach – Your coach will gather video content and provide feedback within 48 hours.
2.) CoachNow: Access to the CoachNow application where you will connect with your coach and be provided valuable content catered to your development.
3.) One-on-One’s: Five one-on-one’s to use throughout the 12 month program, talk to your coach about scheduling – additional one-on-one’s can be purchased at a discounted rate.
4.) Practice Planning: Based off of your in-game performance, your coach will work with you to develop a plan to hone in on specific skills.
5.) Player Development Meetings: Meetings with your coach throughout the 12 month program to connect, assess, ask questions and encourage accountability.
6.) Winter Club Membership: 12 month optional* full access membership to the Winnipeg Winter Club – use of full facility encouraged.

Effective communication with your coach is crucial.
Keep the following in mind:
– Regular Updates: stay in touch with your coach regularly to update them on your progress and discuss any challenges you’re facing.
– Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek clarification on any aspect of your training or development.
– Respect and Accountability: Show respect for your coach’s expertise and be accountable for your training and performance.Find Success Through:
Commitment: Commitment is the foundation of a successful mentorship program, as it ensures that both the coach and athlete invest the time and effort necessary for growth and development.
Drive: Drive in sports is the catalyst that propels athletes to push their physical and mental limits, enabling them to continuously improve their skills and performance.
Enjoyment: When individuals find joy in sport, they are more likely to stay committed, learn effectively, and build meaningful relationships that endure beyond the program itself.

GAME ANALYSIS PACKAGE (GAP)

Evolution Hockey’s Game Analysis Package (GAP) is for those looking for detailed feedback and teaching to better understand their game.
Providing a holistic skill breakdown through 2 game video recaps (from 5 edited game submissions), combined with an initial consultation and ongoing access to content throughout the season. Players not only receive analysis but also learn why certain habits and skills matter, creating real understanding and clarity in their development.What’s included?
Initial consultation to discuss goals and development areas
Five full game video reviews analyzed and summarized into two detailed video recaps:
Recap 1: after games 1 & 2
Recap 2: after games 3, 4 & 5
Custom interactive CoachNow space
Holistic skill breakdowns highlighting strengths, habits, and key development areas
Access to NHL/WHL clips for the remainder of the season
Through video review, CoachNow communication, and NHL/WHL/College clips, you/your player will receive a clear picture of their strengths, weaknesses, and key habits – along with actionable direction for growth.
